“for… reasons? ;)”
Yes! Definitely for reasons! XD
No… in all seriousness, it’s for business (oddly). It has to do with DashCon (FKA Tumbl Con) and the Sherlock Committee’s participation in the convention. It could be very cool.
If I order David Tennant, it will just be for reasons! :P

April Drawing Challenge: #15 Sci-fi!
“What are you doing, John?”
“Checking for pointy ears, what do you think?” -
Accents. It's not an American accent (and I know there are many) that bothers me. (I knew this would fucking snowball). I merely hate the way some Americans prononce 'Sherlock'. The one that springs to mind is Lucy Lu in Elementary, as I said on my blog, I cringe every time she says it. It was a personal observation in response to a Nonny ask and not an attack on anyone or accents in general. Having said all that there are just as many British accents that murder certain words.
I wasn’t angry. I especially wasn’t angry at you. I do, however, get mildly irritated at the phrase “American accent” in general use. While you know that there are many, some people reading my reply may not. That sounds ludicrous, but I’m sure it is both a possible and plausible assumption.
I’ve tried to find a clip of Lucy Liu saying his name, and I can’t seem to easily locate one. Her accent is a bit tricky. I can’t quite place it. But, as I said, I wasn’t able to hear her say Sherlock’s name.
There definitely are British accents (only because you said it first) that murder words. However, I have an unnatural love of practically all accents. The more they diverge from my own, the more I love them. I think the Lancashire accent might be my absolute favourite… at least, that’s what Wikipedia and Google tell me it’s called.
I hadn’t made it far enough back on my dash to see the original ask about Lucy Liu. Probably has to do with me following 440 blogs.
With Ben’s name and mispronunciation… I wasn’t aware that we tend to get that wrong, in any accent. I mean… are we talking about poor enunciation, resulting in bin-uh-dict rather than beh-neh-dict? Not sure if I did the phonetics properly, but it’s almost 4am.

If you want to write fan fic for the next Tumbl Con auction, let me know.
I can direct you to the committee for almost any fandom, but I’m actively seeking Sherlock, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, and Teen Wolf at this exact moment.
If you want to help, I can tell you how. Inbox me here, or email me at megg33k@gmail.com. Thanks!

Sherlock Fan Fiction Authors:
Our art auction was the most successful art auction thus far, and we aim to make the fanfic auction just as good (if not better)! The auctioned ‘item’ is a fic commission (like the auction AO3 just did). Ours doesn’t even start for 6 or 7 weeks, so there shouldn’t be any issues with overlap. There is a detailed ‘author guidelines’ form to make sure you don’t get requests you aren’t comfortable writing (think along the lines of the johnlockchallenges fic exchange but with more detailed questions). And your efforts will help make Tumbl Con USA the best it can possibly be. We have some great Sherlockian ideas already!!!
I’d tell you what they are, but then I’d have to kill you… and then we’d have to solve your murder through clever deductions.Come write for us! I’ll love you (even more) forever! You can reply to this with how I should contact you or email me at megg33k@gmail.com or on Skype as Megg33k! Any takers?
